Diane Dobbins, MPH, RN, BC, PHN is the Emergency Preparedness Manager for Public Health in Ventura County, California. Spanning a 35 year career in nursing, she has spent the bulk of it in the community health field. She has served as Statewide President of the Maternal Child Health Directors, providing leadership in advocating for greater equity in funding for maternal child health programs. Currently managing the county’s public health emergency preparedness program, she is also a part-time faculty member in the Health Sciences Department at California State University, Northridge in both the undergraduate and graduate level. Diane strongly believes in mentoring and supporting new nurses and encouraging their continuing educational goals.
