Christina DiMichele, MSN, RN, NEA-BC
Biographical Sketch
Christina
DiMichele received her RN diploma from The Bryn Mawr Hospital School of
Nursing, Bryn Mawr, PA and her Bachelor Degree in the Science of Nursing from
Widener University, Chester, PA. She received her Masters of Science in Nursing
and Healthcare Administration at the University of Pennsylvania School Of
Nursing with a minor from Wharton. She has been certified as a Nurse Executive
Advanced (NEA) since 2006 through the ANCC. She has over twenty-two years of
experience in nursing. She has worked as a clinician in neonatal nursing ,
pediatric acute and critical care nursing, and acute adult nursing.
Christie has spent the majority of her career at The Children’s Hospital of
Philadelphia in a variety of progressive management positions. Currently, she is
the Nurse Manager of 5E, a Hematology and General Pediatrics Unit at the
Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and a Per Diem Administrative Nursing
Supervisor at Delaware County Community Hospital in Drexel Hill, PA.
Christie has been a faculty member at the University of Pennsylvania School of
Nursing since 2006. Ms. DiMichele teaches in the Nursing and Health Care
Administration Graduate Nursing Program and also the Undergraduate Nursing
Program. She teaches graduate nurses as a preceptor for systems analysis
projects and she is an occasional lecturer for graduate level classes. She also
teaches sophomore undergraduate students the clinical and lab components of
Concepts in Nursing: Healthy Lifestyles 1 and 2 and nursing physical assessment
skills.
Since 2007, she has volunteered as a National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission Program
Evaluator and is trained to evaluate schools of nursing with the National League
for Nursing Credentialing Center. Christie has been a member of a member of AONE
since 2006 and Sigma Theta Tau , Eta Beta Chapter since 1990.
